Lauren wanted to rustle in a black 50's ballgown to wear again and again. I made the petticoat out of crisp Egyptian cotton with deep flounces of silk paper taffeta. The single ply of ivory is the only bridal symbol under two of black tulle. Skirt plies are cut in just three circular panels but styled as nine. All seams, true and sham, are detailed with raised black chain stitch. |
